Overview |
Jinshan District People's Court of Shanghai, whose predecessor was Jinshan County People's Court of Shanghai, was established in November 1951. On June 27, 1997, Jinshan District People's Court was formally established under the city's overall plan for replacing the counties with districts. The existing trial court office building was put into use in 2002. It is located at No. 2288 Jinshan Avenue, covering an area of 54 acres, with a total building area of over 20,700 square meters. The trial court office building has 20 large, medium and small trial courts of 6000 square meters, which are equipped with relatively complete cultural facilities such as the Judicial Square, Court History Center, Judge Salon, library, gym, badminton courts, table tennis room, and basketball courts. The Court has a green area of 14,485 square meters with a green coverage rate of 40.4%, and was named the 'National Model Green Unit' in 2008. By 2014, Jinshan District People's Court had 16 departments and 221 personnel. | |

Li Shulan, female, with Han nationality, was born in December 1968 in Binyang, Guangxi Province. Holding Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Law full-time universities, she took a job in July 1991 and joined the CPC in June 1991. She now serves as the secretary of the CPC Leading Group and the president of Jinshan District People's Court of Shanghai. She is a senior expert judge. | |

Court Development |
Since the establishment of Jinshan District People's Court in 1997, the first CPC Leading Group put forward the Court's motto saying 'Being Impartial, Honest, Civilized, Efficient, Diligent and Realistic', the second CPC Leading Group formulated the development strategy of making the Court stronger and thriving by management and talents to build a good image for the Court, the third CPC Leading Group set the objective of 'Promoting Harmony, Serving Development and Striving to Be Outstanding', and the fourth CPC Leading Group proposed the work idea of 'Implementing Legislation for the People, Being Honest and Upright, and Pursuing Excellence'. In recent years, under the supervision and guidance of Jinshan District People's Congress and its Standing Committee and the supervising court, Jinshan District People's Court studied and implemented the spirit of the 18th CPC Central Committee, centered on the goal of ''making the masses to feel judicial equality and justice in every single case' as put forward by the Secretary General, Xi Jinping, always adhered to the mainline of justice administration for the people and just law enforcement, giving full play to the role of justice to facilitate with building peace and rule of law and personnel teams of high quality, and has made new achievements in various fields, providing judicial protection for making Jinshan District a harmonious place for both business and living. | |

Honors |
Under the leadership of the CPC Leading Group of all successive sessions and with the efforts of all personnel, Jinshan District People's Court has been listed as the National Model Green Unit, one of the Ten Best Reading Teams in the 30th Anniversary of the Reading Campaign on Rejuvenation of China in Shanghai, and was awarded the Second and Third Class Merit Citation to Collectives in the court system of Shanghai. It was named as Shanghai Model Unit for five consecutive times, and has cultivated a number of outstanding collectives and individuals such as the 'National Most Kind-Hearted Grassroots Judge', the 'National Model Judge', the 'China Excellent Judge', the 'National Model in Court Case Handling', the 'Outstanding CPC Member & Judicial Officers of the Politics and Law System' for Peng Wenzhong, the 'Shanghai Model Collective', the 'Model Collective in Shanghai People's Courts', the 'Shanghai May 1st Women Award', and the 'First Prize to Individuals of Shanghai Courts'. | |
