sipcshanghai no. 3 intermediate court jointly released white papers on ip trial online

On April 15, 2020, as the 20th World Intellectual Property Day is approaching, Shanghai Intellectual Property Court (hereinafter referred to as the "SIPC") and Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate Peoples Court (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate Court") jointly held a press conference to publish white papers and typical cases on the judicial protection of intellectual property rights by the two courts. Chen Yajuan, President of the SIPC, Li Shulan, Vice President of the SIPC, Chen Huizhen, full-time member of the Judiciary Committee, Gu Junwei, Deputy Director of the Criminal Tribunal attended the press conference, which was presided by Li Shulan. It is the fifth consecutive year that SIPC released a white paper on judicial protection of intellectual property rights, and it is also the first time that Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate Court released a white paper on criminal judicial protection of intellectual property rights. The two white papers comprehensively demonstrated the practice of the SIPC and Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate Court since establishment in terms of implementing the concept of "protecting intellectual property is protecting innovation", deepening the reform and innovation of IPR trial mechanism, increasing the protection of intellectual property rights, providing services and guarantees for building China into an IP power and a science and technology giant and the results achieved. The white papers were released in both Chinese and English, and 30 typical cases were released at the same time. This is also the first time that SIPC and Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate Court held a press conference online, and live broadcast it on the Internet at the same time. Reporters of more than 20 media agencies including Xinhua News Agency, The Economic Daily, Legal Daily, Jiefang Daily, Shanghai Law Journal, and Shanghai Media Group participated in the press conference online and raised questions. The press conference was also broadcast live on yangshipin, kankanews, kuaishou, xinmin.cn and other online media platforms, as well as the Weibo account of Shanghai Comprehensive Administration of Politics and Law and the Weibo account and WeChat official account of our court.

As of 2 p.m. on the same day, the press conference achieved satisfactory promotion results with 152,000 netizens watching the press conference online during the live broadcast.
