In order to celebrate the 99^th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (the CPC), and to further the study of the history of the CPC, the history of the People¡¯s Republic of China, the history of reform and opening up, and the history of socialist development, on the afternoon of June 29, the central group of the Party Leadership Group of the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court (the SHPC) went to the Shanghai Municipal Archives and the Memorial of the Fourth National Congress of the CPC to carry out visits and study activities, to explore the source of power, to go over the oath on joining the CPC, and to draw on experience, wisdom and endeavor from history.

In the Shanghai Municipal Archives, members of the central group of the Party Leadership Group of the SHPC visited the ¡°For Truth and Faith ¨C the 100^th Anniversary Theme Exhibition Commemorating the Cover-to-cover Translation of The Communist Manifesto into Chinese for the First Time by Chen Wangdao,¡± deeply understood the relentless pursuit of truth by the advanced intellectuals in China a hundred years ago, and learned about the spread of Marxist classics in China, and the founding history of the CPC.

At the Memorial of the Fourth National Congress of the CPC, all party members raised their right fist and again made a solemn oath on joining the CPC, led by Liu Xiaoyun, Party Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the SHPC, expressing their faith and determination to remain true to the original aspiration, keep their mission firmly in mind, stick to the faith and forge ahead. Afterwards, all party members visited the basic exhibition of the Fourth National Congress and the photo history exhibition of the early branches of the CPC with the theme of ¡°Laying a Solid Foundation and Building a Fortress,¡± to recall the history when the Fourth National Congress of the CPC was held, and understand the historical process of the growth of the CPC and the formation and development of the mass line.

Through this visit and study activity, members of the central group of the Party Leadership Group of the SHPC revisited the truth elaborated by The Communist Manifesto and the oath on joining the Party, reviewed the glorious history of the CPC, and expressed their aspiration to further enhance confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, conscientiously culture their Party spirit, remain true to the original aspiration and belief, and bravely take on the new mission of the people¡¯s court in the new era, so as to provides strong judicial safeguard for the achievement of the two centenary goals and the realization of the Chinese Dream, the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
