Representatives and Committee Members Try Immersive Experience of the Scientific and Technological Achievements in Building a Smart Court by the Shanghai Financial Court

In order to better demonstrate Shanghai¡¯s achievements in building smart courts to the public, recently, Shanghai High People¡¯s Court (hereinafter referred to as ¡°SHPC¡±) launched the ¡°Shanghai Smart Court Experience Activity¡± at the first Shanghai Legal Culture Festival. As the final stop of the activity, on September 14, the Shanghai Financial Court invited Lv Yihao and Dong Meidi, Deputies to the Municipal People¡¯s Congress, Liu Jianming, Member of the CPPCC Municipal Committee, and Yao Ronghui, the experiencer, to the court to have immersive experience of the smart technology achievements. Lin Xiaonie, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the Shanghai Financial Court, Cao Hongxing, the Second-Level Inspector of SHPC, some media representatives, and heads of relevant functional departments of SHPC and relevant departments of the Shanghai Financial Court participated in the activity.

Four representatives visited the Litigation Service Center to experience smart litigation services such as Case Filing with the Help of Smart Technology, Dispute Resolution Relying on Smart Sources, and Smart Protection Cabin for Small and Medium Investors. In the mock trials, the representatives, acting as jurors, plaintiffs and litigation representatives, experienced seven functions of the trial system such as smart interpretation and cross-examination.

At the symposium at the closing ceremony of the activity, the experiencers spoke highly of the Shanghai Financial Court¡¯s efforts in building the smart court. Vice President Lin Xiaonie said that since its inception four years ago, the Shanghai Financial Court had aimed to build a world-class financial court that is ¡°professional, international, and intelligent.¡± It has insisted on top-level design, the problem-oriented approach, and system integration, to comprehensively build a digital transformation benchmark and intelligent empowerment model integrating ¡°smart sources, smart trial, smart management and smart court.¡± Cao Hongxing expressed gratitude to the Shanghai Financial Court for the meticulous organization of the experience. He also said that Shanghai courts would continue to deepen the construction of smart courts, and make steady progress on the journey of a higher level of digital justice.
