On October 20, 2023, the Shanghai First Intermediate People¡¯s Court (hereinafter referred to as the ¡°Court¡±) held a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement respectively with and appoint special consultants from East China University of Political Science and Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Renmin University of China Law School, Fudan University Law School, KoGuan School of Law of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Law School of Tongji University, East China Normal University Law School, and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Law School. Lu Weimin, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and president of the Court, and other leaders of the court, as well as heads of relevant departments, experts and scholars from the nine universities listed above attended the ceremony. Zhang Jiajie, member of the Party Leadership Group and director of the Political Department of the Court, hosted the event.

President Lu hoped that the court-university cooperation would go deeper and yield fruitful results.

At the ceremony, the Court signed the cooperation agreements and programs with the nine universities, and issued letters of appointment to the special consultants. People from the universities talked about their schools and their experience in cooperating with the Court, and shared their thought on combining theory and practice, co-training high-quality legal talent, sharing resources with the Court, drawing on each other¡¯s advantages, and achieving win-win cooperation through mutual assistance.

After the ceremony, relevant responsible people from the nine universities visited the Court¡¯s legal culture corridor and other places.
