Pudong Court Establishes "Spring Dandelion" Campus Dispute Resolution and Mediation Station, Adapts "Fengqiao Experience" to School Settings

To fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, promote the prevention of disputes involving minors at the source and comprehensive management, better protect the legitimate rights and interests of minors, and foster a collaborative education ecosystem involving families, schools, and communities, Shanghai Pudong New Area People¡¯s Court (hereinafter referred to as "Pudong Court") and Yangjing Street recently launched the "Spring Dandelion" campus dispute resolution and mediation station, along with a "Family-School-Community Education Alliance" to jointly protect the campus and accompany growth. The launch event was attended by representatives from the Pudong New Area Education Bureau, the Women's Federation of Pudong New Area, the Communist Youth League Committee of Pudong New Area, Yangjing Sub-district, the Sub-district People's Mediation Committee, neighborhood committees, social workers, psychologists, experts and scholars from East China University of Political Science and Law, as well as school staff and parents representatives.

At the event, Tong Ling, Standing Member of the Adjudication Committee of Pudong Court, unveiled the plan for the "Spring Dandelion" Campus Dispute Resolution and Mediation Station. Zhu Jianguo, Vice President and Member of the Party Leadership Group of Pudong Court, together with Wang Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yangjing Sub-district, and Director of the Sub-district Office, jointly unveiled the plaque for the station. Sun Feng, Deputy Director of the Yangjing Sub-district Office, announced the implementation plan for the "Family-School-Community Education Alliance."

Also during the event, Zhang Jian, the Special Invited Mediator from the Pudong Court, and Ren Hui, the Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association of Shanghai Jincai High School, shared their experiences in resolving campus disputes and their insights on home-school co-education. Associate Professor Yang Xu from East China University of Political Science and Law delivered a special lecture on the theme of "Resolving and Preventing Campus Disputes from the Perspective of Minors' Growth," offering expert insights for a new pattern of collaborative education.

The Pudong Court's "Spring Dandelion" Campus Dispute Resolution and Mediation Station will be stationed in the Yangjing Street Comprehensive Management Center together with the "Spring Dandelion" Family Education Judge Studio, effectively connecting the institutional chain for the protection of minors' rights and interests. Through a "three-step progressive" mechanism that prioritizes on-campus mediation, involves professional support, and relies on judicial procedures as a last resort, the station will adapt to local conditions to create a campus version of the "Fengqiao Experience," jointly safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of minors.
