Lodging a Lawsuit in Tight Budget?
[2011-12-05]

°ŮThe legal cost has to be paid when a party lodges a lawsuit to the court. However those in financial difficulties may apply to the court for delay the payment of legal cost or partial or complete exemption of the cost.

°ŮSuch aid from the court is referred to as judicial aid. The applicant for such judicial aid needs to satisfy certain criteria with proof materials submitted. For instance, the applicants satisfying criterion for complete exemption of legal cost are the disabled people with no means of livelihood, people living on minimum subsistence allowances, rural households enjoying the five guarantees (childless and infirm senior citizens who are guaranteed food, clothing, medical care, housing and burial expenses) and people entitled to receive the unemployment insurance benefits, to name just a few.
