On the afternoon of May 14th, the Shanghai High People's Court (SHPC) and the Shanghai Women's Federation held a special event themed ˇ°Fostering Favorable Family Environment, Safeguarding the Family Happiness" to protect family rights and interests. Wang Guangxian, Vice President of the SHPC, and Wang Jianzhang, Vice Chairwoman of the Shanghai Women's Federation, attended the event. Also present were some deputies to the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, heads and judges from SHPC responsible for the family-related cases involving minors and handling outstanding cases, and heads from relevant departments of the Shanghai Women's Federation.
During the event, both parties jointly signed the Cooperation Agreement on Strengthening Anti-Family Violence and released the Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the Collaborative Work Mechanism for Anti-Family Violence as well as "Outstanding Cases on Protecting Family Rights and Interests." Wang Jianzhang expressed her expectation that the signing of the collaborative mechanism could facilitate closer cooperation between the court and the women's federation, effectively enhancing the efficiency of anti-family violence work. In his address, Wang Guangxian articulated three expectations: Firstly, persist in concerted efforts to jointly promote the implementation of the cooperation mechanism; secondly, make good use of practical cases to highlight the role of the rule of law in leading family trends; thirdly, strengthen digital co-governance and thoroughly implement the concept of "nipping problems in the bud and preventing diseases before they occur".
