


On the afternoon of May 14th, the Shanghai High People's Court (SHPC) held a Symposium of National Advanced Worker from Shanghai Courts, Shanghai Model Collectives, and Advanced Workers from Shanghai. Jia Yu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the SHPC, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. The symposium was presided over by Wang Liqiu, member of the Party Leadership Group of the SHPC and Head of the Political Department. Attending the symposium were national advanced worker from Shanghai courts, representatives of Shanghai model collectives, advanced workers from shanghai, and heads of relevant departments of the SHPC.
President Jia Yu expressed his hopes for the representatives of the advanced workers: First, take the lead in upholding political principles, embody steadfast commitment and unwavering loyalty to the Party, always keep in mind the "great concerns of the country," and demonstrate political and legal responsibility in trial and enforcement endeavors. Second, take the lead in assuming responsibility, exemplify dedication to the people and the pursuit of impartial justice. Cultivate an empathetic mindset, ¡°standing in the litigant¡¯s shoes,¡± and respond earnestly and passionately to the people¡¯s most urgent needs and grievances. Ensure that fairness and justice are not just ideals but tangibly perceived by all. Thirdly, take the lead in innovation, set an example of pioneering and reform, maintain the spirit of ¡°I am part of the effort¡± and the resilience to ¡°persist until success is achieved,¡± propelling the Shanghai courts toward even greater milestones. Fourthly, to take the lead in following rules, embody integrity, self-restraint, and unwavering professionalism. Strive to be exemplary judges and officials who ¡°uphold principles while achieving results,¡± fostering an environment of ethical conduct and righteousness.
At the symposium, 11 representatives of the advanced workers, including national advanced worker Qiao Beihua, shared their personal experiences from the frontlines of judicial work, offering touching narratives and profound reflections.
