On July 22, seventeen national and municipal deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) and members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) visited the Minhang District People¡¯s Court, the Changning District People¡¯s Court, and the Shanghai First Intermediate People¡¯s Court to conduct special research on optimizing the law-based business environment. Wu Jinshui, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Shanghai First Intermediate People¡¯s Court, and Wang Yuzhan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court, participated in the event.
The deputies and members fully recognized the initiatives taken by Shanghai courts to improve the law-based business environment and provided valuable comments and suggestions. Vice President Wang Yuzhan noted that courts across the city would continue to advance whole-process people¡¯s democracy, view proactive acceptance of NPC and CPPCC oversight as a strong driver of high-quality judicial development, and actively create conditions and platforms to facilitate more effective supervision by deputies and members.
