On the morning of December 4, the Shanghai High People's Court (SHPC) conducted a constitutional oath ceremony themed "Upholding Constitutional Spirit, Fulfilling Duties with Loyalty." Jia Yu, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, President of the SHPC, and a Grand Justice of the Second Rank, presented appointment letters to judges newly appointed to judicial positions by the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress in 2025 and oversaw the oath-taking. Wang Yuzhan, a member of the Leading Party Members' Group, Vice President, and First-Rank Senior Judge of the SHPC, led all judges in taking the solemn oath. The event was presided over by Wang Liqiu, a member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Director of the Political Department of the SHPC. The event was attended by members of the Leading Party Members' Group, court leaders, bureau-level cadres, and heads of various departments within the SHPC.

The constitutional oath ceremony holds significant importance in motivating court cadres and police officers to uphold the authority of the Constitution, reinforce their belief in the rule of law, and perform their duties in accordance with the law. The judges who participated in the constitutional oath unanimously expressed their commitment to faithfully honoring their oaths, vigorously promoting the spirit of the Constitution, adhering to the requirements of being "four exemplars," and closely aligning with the main work lines of "political construction as the guide, judicial quality and efficiency as the core, and digital reforms as the empowerment." They pledged to faithfully fulfill the duties entrusted by the Constitution, undertake their responsibilities with loyalty, practice justice for the people, forge a robust work ethic, and make greater contributions to promoting the high-quality development of Shanghai's court work and accelerating Shanghai's transformation into a socialist modern international metropolis with global influence.
