On the morning of April 2, Jia
Yu, Justice of the Second Rank and President of the Shanghai High People¡¯s
Court (SHPC), met with a delegation led by Ágnes Czine, Judge of the
Constitutional Court of Hungary, in Shanghai. Lin Xiaonian, Vice President of
the SHPC, along with relevant officials from the Supreme People¡¯s Court and the
SHPC, attended the meeting.
President Jia welcomed Judge
Czine and her delegation. China and Hungary share a traditional friendship.
Over the more than 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations,
the two countries have always adhered to mutual respect and equal treatment. In
recent years, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both nations, the
judicial authorities of the two countries have maintained close exchanges.
President Jia briefed the delegation on the work of Shanghai courts and
expressed the hope that both sides would take this meeting as a new opportunity
to further deepen judicial exchanges and cooperation, jointly contributing to
the advancement of the judicial systems in both countries.
Judge Czine thanked the SHPC for
its hospitality and gave a briefing on the Hungarian courts. She noted that the
pioneering exploration of Shanghai Digital Court provides practical support for
judges in handling cases and offers valuable experience not only to Hungarian
courts but also to those worldwide in exploring the application of advanced
technologies in the judicial field.
During her visit, Judge Czine
and her delegation toured the SHPC, observed a digital court hearing, and
listened to a presentation on the development of Shanghai Digital Court. They
also held discussions on topics including judicial case handling, the
development of a law-based business environment, digital court construction,
and the cultivation of judicial talent.
