On the morning of April 7, a training course for young officers of Shanghai courts on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance, together with the 2026 Shanghai Courts Excellence Youth Training Camp, opened. Wang Liqiu, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Political Department of the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court (SHPC), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a mobilization speech. The Deputy Director of the Political Department of the SHPC, heads of relevant departments, and 70 trainees participated.

Director Wang engaged in an in-depth discussion with the trainees around three questions: ¡°Why is the Youth Training Camp being held?¡± ¡°What abilities will be cultivated through the Youth Training Camp?¡± and ¡°How to make the most of the Youth Training Camp?¡± Grounded in the development of the court system in the long run, Director Wang elaborated on the significance of the Youth Training Camp from three perspectives: strengthening the cultivation of young officials, precisely addressing team weaknesses, and serving the modernization of court work.

Considering the current situation and tasks, Director Wang put forward hopes and requirements for the young court officers: First, to deepen theoretical study to replenish their spiritual foundation and enhance political comprehension, political judgment, and political execution. Second, to strengthen Party conduct, temper their loyalty, and firmly establish a correct view of performance. Third, to improve their capabilities, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and develop genuine skills for fulfilling their duties. Fourth, to strictly observe discipline, exercise self-discipline in cultivating personal integrity, and build a strong defense against misconduct. He also encouraged all trainees to uphold a sound work style, strengthen self-management, and integrate knowledge with action, striving to achieve comprehensive improvement in their political ideology, performance capabilities, and disciplinary conduct, and to write a brilliant chapter of their youth on the new journey of advancing the modernization of Shanghai courts.
