SHPC President Jia Yu Attends Seminar on ¡°Empowering the Development of the International Shipping Hub and Jointly Building a High Ground for Aviation Rule-of-Law¡±

On May 27, the seminar titled ¡°Empowering the Development of the International Shipping Hub and Jointly Building a High Ground for Aviation Rule-of-Law,¡± co-hosted by the Changning District People¡¯s Court (hereinafter the ¡°Changning Court¡±), East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL), and the Aviation Law Research Committee of China Law Society, was held at Hongqiao Origin. Attendees included Jia Yu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court (SHPC); Wang Zhiqing, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Eastern Airlines Holding Company Limited; Xiao Kai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of ECUPL; Wang Guangxian, Vice President of the SHPC; Jiang Chunshui, a National Committee member of the Chinese People¡¯s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC); and Wang Yu, a CPPCC National Committee member and Chairman of Spring Airlines Company Limited. The seminar was also attended by Xu Shiliang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Changning Court, along with over 80 representatives from Shanghai¡¯s three-level (municipal, intermediate, and grassroots) court system, relevant institutions of Changning District, universities, the legal profession, aviation enterprises, and arbitration bodies.

At the seminar, President Jia and Chairman Wang jointly inaugurated the ¡°Aviation Trial Research Base¡± of the Changning Court. In his address, President Jia proposed three key requirements: first, to enhance political awareness and contribute to elevating the development capacity of the international shipping hub; second, to focus on professional empowerment and strive to build a new high ground for aviation rule-of-law development; and third, to deepen collaborative governance and jointly forge a new framework for the legal guarantee of aviation.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as ¡°Judicial Protection and Rule Construction for High-Quality Development of the Low-Altitude Economy in the Context of Yangtze River Delta Integration,¡± ¡°Research on the Integrated One-Stop Dispute Resolution Mechanism for Aviation Disputes Under the New Civil Aviation Law,¡± and ¡°Research on Specialized Adjudication Mechanisms for Aviation Cases.¡±
