On the morning of July 1, the gathering in celebration of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was grandly convened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, awarded the ¡°July 1 Medal¡± to the recipients and delivered an important speech. In response, the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court organized a collective viewing session, bringing together a broad contingent of its Party member judicial officers and court staff to watch the live broadcast of the landmark event.
