On the afternoon of July 22, the High People¡¯s Court of Shanghai Municipality (hereinafter Shanghai High People¡¯s Court) convened a conference on the work of dispatched people¡¯s tribunals of Shanghai courts. Jia Yu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Relevant leaders and department heads from the high and intermediate people¡¯s courts, along with leaders and department heads from selected primary courts, participated in the conference.
In his speech, Jia Yu outlined four key
requirements for advancing the work of dispatched people¡¯s tribunals citywide.
First, political guidance should be strengthened to ensure the right direction
of the work. Second, substantive dispute resolution should be enhanced for
striving to contain and absorb more conflicts at the community level and
resolve them in their incipient stages. Third, the people-centered principle
should be upheld to enable the general public to experience fairness, justice,
and the warmth of the judiciary firsthand. Fourth, popular support should be solidified
to propel the work of dispatched people¡¯s tribunals to a new level.
At the conference, Vice President Wang
Guangxian summarized the work of dispatched people¡¯s tribunals of Shanghai
courts, while Director Wang Liqiu conveyed the guiding principles of the Fifth
National Conference on the Work of Dispatched People¡¯s Tribunals.
