On the afternoon of August 20, the Pudong New Area People¡¯s Court hosted the first judicial seminar on ¡°Pufa Xinfeng: Pudong Justice Inspired by the New-Era Fengqiao Experience ¡ª Good Governance of a Megacity¡±. Jia Yu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court; Jiang Ping, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Shanghai Law Society; Fan Jiuli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Northwest University of Political Science and Law; and Zhang Jinsong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Pudong New Area District Committee and Secretary of the Party Political and Legal Affairs Commission, attended the seminar and delivered remarks. Wang Guangxian, Vice President of the Shanghai High People¡¯s Court, announced the ¡°Pufa Xinfeng¡± Leading Stars. Officials responsible for relevant work from the First Civil Division of the Supreme People¡¯s Court, as well as the presidents of eight primary people¡¯s courts from four areas in the Yangtze River Delta region, attended the event.

President Jia Yu put forward four requirements for upholding and developing the New Era ¡°Fengqiao Experience¡± in a way that meets the needs and characteristics of grassroots governance in megacities: first, actively integrating into the broader landscape of grassroots governance; second, continuing deepening the development of ¡°Fengqiao-style People¡¯s Tribunals¡±; third, exploring and innovating mechanisms for exchange and collaboration; and fourth, continuing deepening cooperation and exchange mechanisms between courts and universities.

At the seminar, the achievements of the Pudong New Area People¡¯s Court¡¯s ¡°Professor Wang Shirong Workstation¡± over the past two years, the outcomes of the ¡°Five Ones¡± Program under the ¡°Pufa Xinfeng¡± initiative, and typical cases and examples concerning the implementation and development of the ¡°Fengqiao Experience¡± in the New Era were released. The eight primary people¡¯s courts signed a joint initiative for coordinated progress and held discussions on related topics.
